Mr. and Mrs. C are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Mr. Cox celebrated 90 years while surrounded by friends and family from all over the globe. I was lucky enough to be there and capture the faces of those children, grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews, students, neighbors, bandmates, and friends.
Everyone has seen Cinderella, the Disney version, and there are many other versions out there as well. This one was a comic opera. Produced by American Landmark Festivals and performed at The Smith in Geneva, NY on August 5 and 6, the show featured national and local talent.
If you haven’t heard yet, Rochester is raising money to build the largest skate park in the country! On the fourth of June, the Roc City Skatepark held a Rally at High Falls to raise funds. The event featured vendors, skateboarding competitions, BMX exhibitions, a silent auction, food, VIP Party, a performance by Aerial Arts of Rochester, and much more.
2011 marks the seventh year I have had the pleasure of photographing the annual 5k Run/Walk which is part of the Memorial Day weekend festivities in Waterloo, NY. The course takes participants, which this year numbered 334, around the village streets.
Sunday, August 15 was the feast of the Assumption, as celebrated by the Catholic Church. The Church of the Assumption in Fairport, NY decided to celebrate with an outdoor mass at the Perinton Community Center.
From the moment of surprise as the couple walked through the door, to the beautiful wedding cake, to the slideshow of 50 years together, to the ice cream bar at the end of the evening, it was a classy, thoughtful event.
Waterloo, NY: Birthplace of Memorial Day. I have had the honor of being involved with and photographing the events in Waterloo for the last 6+ years.
