“First of all – thank you so much for your submission to our photo exhibit. And now for the good news – we’re pleased to let you know that one of your photos has been selected for the exhibit!”

I was very excited to receive this note from Shana at Full Moon Vista: the best cycling shop in Rochester, in my humble opinion. This is their third annual juried exhibit of cycling related photos, and my first time submitting.

I bought my first bike since middle school at their shop last Spring. I enjoyed putting some 300 miles on it throughout the year, most of which I had a camera draped over my shoulder for! This is part of a personal project I have been working on, documenting the scenes I peddle past, as seen from a moving bicycle.

If you are in Rochester on February 4th or 5th, I encourage you to stop down and see the other winning submissions from 7-9:30pm. I’ll be there, enjoying the imagery and refreshments! Full Moon Vista is located at 180 Saint Paul Street, Rochester NY 14604

I’ve been living in the Corn Hill neighborhood of Rochester for two months now. Today, after days of clouds and rain, the sun managed to come out around 6pm, just as I was leaving work. I was starving, but decided to quickly eat a granola bar so I could take advantage of the sun and the Fall colors. Welcome to my neighborhood. I’ll try to continue this and post more local images coming up.
